COVID-19 Safety Protocols

To all Audiology by Accent patients:

With the announcement from Gov. Desantis that Florida is reopening certain parts of the economy, we thought it was a good time to reach out and update you on our services and policies as we move forward in these unusual times.

We are able to provide all hearing healthcare services such as hearing aid evaluations and fittings and follow ups, maintenance and repair, testing and balance evaluations. We will continue to provide outstanding service and would like to outline a few ways in which we will safely deliver hearing health care.

Drive though services have been a very popular way to have hearing instruments serviced and pick up supplies. We will continue this by appointment only. Just call (352) 271-5373 and set a time with one of our staff. Once you arrive, call the same number and someone will come down to your vehicle to assist you.

If you must enter the building for in person services, we ask that you call to reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing any COVID symptoms or have recently been exposed to a known case of COVID.

Our practice requires all patients and visitors to wear a mask while inside the building. We are unable to provide masks so please bring your own face covering to your appointment.

Waiting room chairs have been spread out and surfaces are disinfected regularly by our staff.

If you make an in person appointment and prefer to wait in your car until your provider is ready, we ask that you call (352) 271-5373 and let us know you have arrived. Once your provider is ready to see you, you will be alerted with a text or phone call and taken directly back to a treatment room.

Many hearing aids are able to be adjusted remotely through your smart phone but in order to activate that feature they need to be programmed in person. This service also requires consent from the hearing aid user. Call our office to see if your hearing aid is capable of remote assistance and then we can craft a plan to activate that feature.

We strive to deliver expert hearing health care safely. We hope the steps outlined above give you confidence that we are doing everything we can to keep you and your loved ones safe. We understand if you chose to cancel appointments and will gladly add you to our list of patients to contact when things ease up.
